Brand new 100K capacity stadium will result in DEMOLITION of Old Trafford

Описание: One of the big takeaways from today's town hall meeting at Manchester United to discuss the future of Old Trafford is the news that previous proposals for a 2-stadium campus is off the table. And that could mean that the Theatre of Dreams is demolished to make way for urban regeneration.

As reported on the official Manchester United website, "initial findings from the first phase of fan consultation on the future of Old Trafford has revealed that more than 90 per cent of supporters are positive about the ambition to deliver a world-class stadium at the heart of a regenerated stadium district."

Another big credit for Manchester United is that "more than 50,000 fans took part in the survey, which was distributed to Season Ticket holders, United Members, and Executive Club members in September – the highest engagement rate of any fan research conducted by the club."

But it's going to be incredibly hard to say goodbye to the exisiting Theatre of Dreams if the proposal for a new purpose built stadium is to go ahead.
