Many may heard of Halong Bay in Vietnam but few know about the hidden gem of Bai Tu Long Bay. I decided to take an overnight cruise into this much more unexplored and less touristy area northeast of Halong Bay.
Started off the day with a 4hr ride from Hanoi to the port where we boarded onto the cruise. After a few hours of sailing into Bai Tu Long Bay we spent the afternoon kayaking, swimming, and exploring some islands. Managed to get some drone shots before it got dark (and before I accidentally crashed the drone while landing, I learned it the hard way to not fly on a moving ship with a small landing area). The night ended with some amazing food and squid fishing (which I did not succeed). The next day, after soaking in the sunrise, we visited the floating village and got a glimpse into how life is like living on the water. The scenery in Bai Tu Long Bay was absolutely breathtaking, definitely the #1 highlight of my Vietnam trip.
