Tethered drone as CB antenna!

Описание: A very simple how-to: you just need a boost converter on the ground and a buck converter on the drone (XL4015 or similar). Set the buck converter to 4.15 volts and put it in parallel with the battery, most 1S drone batteries have a charger circuit built in, so this is fine.

Wire: 32awg enameled wire with string for strain relief, wound using a hand drill.

Voltage out of the boost converter: 33.3 volts for this particular setup. 36V should be fine.

I recommend to not connect the radio's power to the battery on the ground. For extra effectiveness simply stick a nail in the earth and connect the antenna coax cable ground to it.

flight time: about 3 hours (with that battery)
