Are you moving to another country? Or taking a very long trip? This video will help you figure out how to keep your phone number and move it over to Google Voice. This has worked for me and I hope it works for you. The link below will let you double check that you can actually port your number with Google Voice.
*Be sure to own your phone outright from the provider or this will not work. The phone must be unlocked.
