With the Marion School District's innovative magnet schools, parents have an opportunity to choose a theme for their children that is integrated into the state-required academic curriculum. At Marion Visual & Performing Arts Magnet, students explore visual arts, dance, drama, music, and other programs. At Marion Math, Science & Technology Magnet, students get hands-on learning experiences with a special emphasis on mathematics, technology, and the sciences. At Herbert Carter Global Community Magnet, the school environment is rooted in global awareness, and students learn skills via the “Leader in Me” curriculum.
Through this program and others, the Marion School District is ensuring that students are equipped with the academic, social, and decision-making skills they need to become productive citizens in our rapidly changing world.
