Synopsis:
Joaquín Sorolla turned water into one of the great challenges of modern painting. Constantly changing, unstable, and impossible to fix, water forces the painter to work without certainty. This documentary explores how Sorolla learned to observe that continuous movement—the light, the passing of time, bodies in transformation—and how, in doing so, he stopped trying to dominate reality and began to enter into dialogue with it. More than scenes or stories, his painting becomes an experience of direct perception.
