Popeye is definitely my all-time favorite Nintendo Arcade game that got an NES port. The graphics don't look anything like the original Arcade version probably due to the NES screen limitations, but it still looks pretty good for what it's worth, and the NES version is easier to play compared to the Arcade version, too!
As for how it plays on the Power Games, well, of course the copyrights are removed, but aside from that, I didn't discover any issues, and I did have fun playing Popeye for a few minutes. Here I only decided to do one run, and I only got as far as Round 6, but that's still much better than how I've played Mappy on the Famicom. I was thinking of getting an original cartridge of this game in the NES form factor, but I might just stick to playing it on multicarts since I prefer Famicom/Famiclone based hardware more.
