This is a winter hike in the Oregon Coast Range. The route runs from Klootchy Creek County Park in Clatsop County, Oregon, just a few miles outside of Seaside, Oregon. It climbs up to the site of an old lookout at a place called David Point.
Theviews from up on top were stellar. There was a lot of haze in the air due to the low clouds and threatening rain, or we could have seen even more. It sprinkled a bit a few times, but there was no actual rain.
This hike was planned at 13.8 miles or so, but we added a couple of miles and finished with 16 miles.
