Protesters gathered outside a court in Nigeria, demanding that Joyce Abimbola Awogboro Abimbola Malik step down from a politically sensitive case involving the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Demonstrators accused the judge of bias and called on the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court to reassign the case to another justice. Protest leaders claim they no longer have confidence in the court's handling of the matter.
Some protesters also alleged political interference involving Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, accusations that have not been independently verified.
The demonstrators say they will continue their protest if the judge does not recuse herself from the case.
