In today’s video I hope to inspire you to play with your paper and create something beautiful to you.
This is a long one, grab a cup of coffee and a snack lol
Please note that my measurements for the card base is pretty spot on, but the measurements for the inner pieces may need a 1/8 inch adjustment. But both cards are adorable.

Here are some notes on measurement,( I can make these box cards all day long but explaining them is challenging for me.)

Learn the 1/8 of an inch marks. The 1/8 of an inch marks are the smaller marks found directly in between the 1/4 of an inch marks on the ruler. Between 0 and 1 inch, there are marks that denote 1/8, 1/4 (or 2/8), 3/8, 1/2 (or 4/8), 5/8, 6/8 (or 3/4), 7/8, and 1 (or 8/8) of an inch. In total, there are 96 of these marks on a 12 inch ruler.
For example, you measure a piece of fabric and the edge falls on the 6th line after the 4 inch mark, which is directly in between the 1/4 of an inch mark and the 1/2 inch mark. This means that your fabric is 4 and 3/8 inches long.

Here are my measurements:

Box 1
Card stock
Half sheet of card stock cut to:
11 x 4 1/4
Scored on the 11 inch side at
3 1/4 , 5 3/8 , 8 5/8 , 10 6/8

Inner pieces:
4 1/4 inches scored 1/2 inch on both ends
Width depends on your opening

Layering panels :
No border:
3 1/4 inches wide and 4 1/4 tall. (No border
2 1/8 inches wide and 4 1/4 tall

With border:
3 inches wide and 4 inches tall
1 1/8 inches wide And 4 inches tall


Box Two :

Card stock
Cut to 11 inch x 4 1/4
( half sheet of card stock)
Scored at the 11 in side at:
1/2 inch, 2 1/4 , 3 1/2 , 7 1/2 , 8 3/4

Inner piece’s
5 in long scored 1/2 in on both sides
Width depends on your opening

Layering panels:
No border:
4 inches wide x 4 1/4 inches tall
1 1/4 inches wide X 4 1/4 inches tall


With border
3 3/4 inches wide x 4 inches tall
1 inch wide x 4 inches tall
