8) SOUNDBITE (English) Giselle Davies, IOC Communications Director:
"I can confirm to you that the disciplinary commission which was set up by President Jacques Rogge yesterday has met today at the Hilton hotel here in Athens. There was a delegation of four people, chaired by the chef de mission of the Hellenic Olympic Committee which came. They requested from the athletes that the hearing be postponed, and presented medical certificates that explained that the athletes will not be able to attend a meeting for 48 hours. As a result, in order to ensure a fair process and to give due consideration to the athletes, the disciplinary commission has decided to postpone the hearing until Monday 16th of August. Ladies and gentlemen, there is no further comment to make at this stage. The hearing will take place on Monday the 16th of August."

STORYLINE:
Greek sprinters Kostas Kenteris and Katerina Thanou will remain hospitalised for a further 48 hours, a doctor at the Kat hospital in Athens said on Friday.
They sustained injuries from a motorcycle wreck hours before an IOC hearing on whether they intentionally dodged drug testers.
The IOC Communications director, Giselle Davis, said there would be no decision made until Monday.
An IOC disciplinary hearing had been scheduled for late Monday.
In light of the medical update, however, there may be no developments now until Monday.
The accident and accusations involving two of the nation's biggest sports stars stunned Greeks on the day of the Athens Games' opening ceremony and left organisers red faced.
Kenteris was considered a favourite to light the cauldron with the Olympic Flame before a worldwide audience. The torchbearer traditionally remains a mystery until the last moment.
The Government spokesman said he could not comment until the situation was resolved.
The athletes' joint coach, Christos Tsekos, and Thanou's husband visited the two sprinters at Kat hospital, Athens' trauma hospital on Friday.
