With a radius of half meter, is the circle before you.
Nobody knows it's circumference. No matter how high their IQ.
But wait, you were taught circumference = 2 π r
So, let us prove me wrong. You have the power.
The 2r part is easy. Let's work on it first.
2 gets cut. Left with 1. Done! Moving on headfirst.
So, we are left with 1 into pie, which equals pie.
Now, things start to get wonky. Try not to cry.
In school, you were taught pi is 22 upon seven.
But, that not exact. Just an approximation.
The real value of pi just begins with 3.14
And if you don't stop, it goes on forevermore.
Google's Emma calculated pi to 31.4 trillion digits
Seen 3 1 and 4 before? It's one of math's big hits.
Tillion is million times million incase you don't know
Even that's too little digits. For an infinity, they flow.
We must find the circumference to know why.
How? Draw a decagon, measure, and multiply.
The length of each side in meters is 0.314
And there are 10. So 0.314 into 10 equals 3.14
"But is all wrong", I can hear you say.
"It pi ish. But this is not really a circle ay."
Let's add more sides, you are completely right.
Now as you can see, the error is ever so slight.
60 sided, with a length of 0.052 blah blah each
A value much closer to true π we reach
But you are still not happy, errors always remain
No matter what, you can zoom in and complain.
And that is why digits can never and will never end.
Why the decimal representation is an infinity, see my friend.
