Recent days saw a flurry of viral rumours on social media claiming that Benjamin Netanyahu was killed in an Iranian missile strike, triggered by a recent press conference which internet users claimed showed was AI-generated. In response, the Israeli PM posted two videos of himself at a cafe in Jerusalem, though this did little to quash the online rumours.
