milestones, no fish fights — just our trouble balls being lazy
and peaceful at the nest. Sometimes the best content is the
quiet content. ✨

📍 In this peaceful clip, Sandy (hatched April 4) and Luna
(hatched April 5) had one of their most relaxed days yet. After
weeks of intense pre-fledge prep, wingers, food battles, and
sibling drama, our trouble balls just took a chill day. Sitting,
looking around, killing time like the proper teenage eagles
they're becoming. With fledge approaching fast, peaceful moments
like this become especially precious to capture. 💕

🦅 ABOUT JACKIE & SHADOW
Jackie and Shadow are the world-famous bald eagle pair of Big Bear
Valley, California. Their nest sits 145 feet high in a Jeffrey
Pine, monitored 24/7 by Friends of Big Bear Valley (FOBBV). Jackie
is believed to be the first bald eagle ever hatched and fledged in
Big Bear. Shadow won her over in 2018. Together they have raised
four eaglets to fledge: Simba, Spirit, Sunny, and Gizmo — and now
Sandy and Luna are following in their footsteps.
