Heavy police presence on Ocean Ave. in Santa Monica where Black Lives Matter supporters came to protest police brutality days after the death of George Floyd. Simultaneously, rampant looting took place three blocks away on Santa Monica Blvd. with no police presence on the ground. Less than 5 minutes after the protest portion of the video on Ocean Ave. was filmed, tear gas was used on protesters.
The protesting, looting and aftermath of rioting in this video was filmed over the course of a few hours in Santa Monica and Venice, CA on 5/31/20.
