The De’ang people practice nature worship and ancestor worship. They believe that mountains, forests, and rivers all have spirits that must be respected and protected. Every year, they hold rituals to pray for good weather and family well-being.

Today, the De’ang have made great progress in education and living standards. Many young people leave the mountains to study and work in cities. While they continue to preserve their traditional culture, they are also actively integrating into modern society. The De’ang, like a small but beautiful flower in the big family of the Chinese nation, have their own unique charm despite their small population.
