One of the things that really excited us about visiting Sri Lanka was the chance to go on a safari with Leo. Sri Lanka has many national parks to choose from, but after reading lot's of reviews we decided to visit Udawalawe. It was a fantastic experience and we loved seeing so many animals in their natural environments. We also went to visit an elephant sanctuary that focusses on rehabilitation before releasing back into the wild. It was an exciting start to our adventure in Sri Lanka and afterwards we couldn't wait to see what else this beautiful country had in store for us...
