Murasing community is one of the 21 tribe of Tripura. They speak kokborok and usually dwell in south Tripura like virchandra manu , patichari etc.and in Sepahijala district I;e twiuandal.
This folk dance is base on story of hunting of deer . When the old couple went to an old jhum cultivation clearing the way they reached a small stream where they catch some stream fish , and while catching the old man was pinch with a cat fish...and the old lady comes to free him..then they reached the jhum where they plugged some vegetables and while plucking the old woman saw a deer and told the old man...later they called their sons and grandsons so the hunting begins...
