Fanouropita (Φανουρόπιτα).
On August 27 we celebrate the Feast of St Fanourios. The patron saint of lost things.
Worshipers ask St Fanourios to help find people or lost things. So every time they search for something or someone they thank him for his help by baking this Fanouropita cake.
This simple cake is made with 9-10 ingredients and tastes delicious.
Oil, Flour, Sugar, Orange Juice, Cinnamon, Cloves, Walnuts and Raisins.
Dusted with icing sugar, I served it with some French Vanilla ice cream.☺️
