जेऊखयांग - Beginning of Summers in Kinnaur ||

Описание: जेऊखयांग ( Zey Ukhyang) also known as small Fulaich/ festival of flowers. This is the first festival which is being celebrated in Thangi village of kinnaur. There are many festivals which are celebrated in different villages of festival. In Thangi village Zey ukhyang is marked as the first festival of summers . This was my first time attending this beautiful festival . This festival is celebrated in place known as Hengaden. Village women holding Dukhaling - juniper , also known as shur moves towards this place and our deity Sh Rapuk Shankar g also comes here . Villages gathers here and many ancient rituals , puja will be done here . After having lunch here women starts singing very ancient Kinnauri songs . Does many traditional dance forms and everyone celebrates Zey ukhyang with lot of grace and happiness. This festival is being celebrated to do please our deity and for the peace and good yield of village . After this festival only water channel used for irrigation are cleaned by villagers . Due to less rainfall people are dependent on glacier water to support their fields so after this festival only people starts irrigation in their field . Nature , faith , tradition everything makes our tribal identity. Glad to see people of Thangi village are celebrating and preserving our culture.
