This trip was extra special because it doubled as a reunion with my friend Josh, and there’s truly no better city to reconnect, wander, and celebrate friendship than New Orleans.

In this travel vlog, I’m taking you along for a weekend in NOLA filled with fun things to do, incredible food, live music, culture, and one of my favorite experiences every time I visit—an airboat swamp tour.

From lunch at Copper Vine (a longtime favorite) to exhilarating night life, discovering local art vendors, spotting gators in the swamp, and eating our way through shrimp po’ boys, gumbo, and beignets—this trip was the perfect mix of iconic New Orleans moments and slower, scenic experiences.

We also tried something totally new with a bounce dance class (way harder than it looks) with Skip, one of Big Freedia's dancers, wrapped the trip with live music and an Afrobeats party, and ended things on a classic trolley ride through the city.
