Safety Issues of AstraZeneca's Covishield Vaccine for COVID-19

It has been reported that Thrombosis Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) - a blood clot disorder - is a rare side effect of AstraZeneca's Covid vaccine. The incidence of this side effect has been as low as one in 50,000 (0.002 per cent), but in a large population, the number becomes sizeable. 

Despite this, doctors have stated that the risks far outweigh the benefits of the jab. The World Health Organization (WHO) and other health experts have also stated that the vaccine is safe and effective at protecting people from the extremely serious risks of COVID-19, including death, hospitalization, and severe disease.
