Hand Paralysis Exercise Instrument | Paralysis Patient Hand Exercise | Dr. Puru Dhawan
In this video, Dr. Puru Dhawan discusses and demonstrates the exercises that can assist paralysis patients with regaining strength in their fingers.
Even after gaining good muscle strength in other body parts, many paralysis patients still lack movement in their hands and fingers, especially movement recovery in the left hand. Therefore, you need to exercise your fingers more to build finger muscle. This is because finger movement is related to fine motor abilities and can be regained with constant exercise.
In this video, a gripper (with weight adjustment) is used to do the workout. It is simple to purchase online. It can be used to increase the finger muscles' strength. If you have trouble closing your fingers, you should try this practice.
Exercise:
Press the gripper with your hands while lowering the weight adjustment to the least. Repeat with the same weight until the grip is fully pressed. Increase the weight by one point after you are comfortable with the current weight. Repeat the activity. An average individual can press the weight adjustment button up to 24 kg.
At SRIAAS, we provide physical exercise guidance along with the medication, which helps the patient recover faster.
