Hi! Welcome back, really happy you're here!
Ok, so! I recently drove 3 hours north to the Central Coast to get to Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo to see (and smell) the rare Corpse Flower of the Titan Arum plant that blooms once (if that) every 10 years and, well, about 500+ other people also had the same idea that day LOL and I was only able to spend about 36 seconds with the flower and in the beautiful college greenhouse. :( I meant show you this amazing flower as well as take a look at this beautiful greenhouse that I have only seen online, but that dream was crushed!!! I pretty much just gave up, but then, a fortunate turn of events when Gage, (Cal Poly's Plant Curator) complimented me on my Adansonii earrings and THAT was when it all started!!!
Excited that we (my roomie Lucas was also with me) were obsessed with tropical plants, just as he is, he offered to give us an exclusive tour of one of the other greenhouses where they kept the most AMAZING and huuuuuge Hoyas, Begonias and Peperomias I have ever seen!!! IT WAS SO UNEXPECTED!!!! I was ready to take a loss for the day, but, it ended up being SO MUCH BETTER than I had planned!!!!!
This was such a surprise, I did not plan on shooting this Greenhouse Tour, since I only planned on showing the Corpse Flower and whatever else was surrounding it haha!!!! AHHH IT WAS AMAZING AND I WAS SHOOK!!!!!!!
Seriously Plant Peeps are the BEST!! If it wasn't for Gage offering a private tour, I probably would have just cried in disappointment all the way back to LA!!! I really hope you can see how excited I was...also I apologize for all the gibberish...again, I was SHOOK!!!
