Did you know that the bow can replace any firearm EXCEPT the varmint rifle? It doesn't degrade and it is silent. You can reuse your arrows. Proper bow kills result in perfect pelts, hides, skins and so on. All that makes it an exceptional, superior ranged weapon both for hunting and fighting, especially when using stealth. How to obtain the bow:
You start the single player game (RDR2 campaign mode) and as part of the tutorial (the mission is called "The Aftermath of Genesis") you get it from Charles in order to go hunting. In other words: you cannot miss it.
