In this video, I show you how I serviced the automatic gearbox of a BMW E39.
This includes draining the old fluid, removing the oil pan and filter, cleaning everything, and installing the new parts.
I also explain the correct way to fill the transmission and check the fluid level at the right temperature.
This is an important maintenance step and BMW says it's a “lifetime fluid”, but trust me — you should never skip it.
Doing this service can help extend the life of your transmission and improve performance.
