Описание: Erythema infectiosum, also known as fifth disease, is a virus that causes flu like symptoms and then a rash. It typically causes outbreaks in school-aged children and can also affect adults. If pregnant women get it, it can be very dangerous to her unborn baby. Symptoms are usually flu-like, the things that you'd normally think of: tired, nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, fever, all those sorts of things. And then about two to five days after that starts a rash can appear. It's called a slap cheek rash because it's typical to have it on the cheeks and look like someone slapped them really hard. Then also some kids get a lace-like rash over their chest, their back, their arms and their legs. If you're suspecting that your three-year-old has this all the literature says that it's school-aged children that it affects, similar to what you said that you've found. But if there is any chance that your three-year-old may have it, if your child is having these symptoms then the only way to know for sure is by taking them to the doctor, having the doctor check them out and then deciding what it is and if any treatment is necessary for it. Good luck with everything and if you have any other questions for me feel free to ask them on our Facebook page and recommend us to your friends and family too.
