I skipped the Ahmedabad stadium and watched the World Cup clash at a screening instead, dragging one of you along and somehow managing to turn cricket tension into a ₹7,500 food adventure. From nimbu soda during early wickets to prawn dim sums, malai chicken, kebabs and even a sushi platter mid innings, this one was equal parts drama and dining.
As the wickets kept falling, so did the orders. A non veg platter became therapy, a virgin bloody became survival fuel, and chicken fried rice with momo chutney turned into the real match winner. Cricket screenings hit different when the food is this involved.
