Finding out how well links you share across your digital marketing platforms perform can provide real insight into which digital marketing activity is working well, or not so well for your business.

In this 90 Second Knowledge video we share a quick and simple way to track those links.

If you're using Google Analytics to track your website visitors, you can use UTM tracking to add snippets of information to links you share. When a user clicks on these tracked links Google Analytics records the information associated with these links so you can see which links are being clicked and how those users went on to navigate your website.

UTM tracking works regardless of whether you use the universal or GA4 version of Google Analytics, but it's worth noting that with the former, you need to specify a campaign name alongside the other details.
