Think about how the chemical and physical properties of your ingredients will affect how the cookie comes together, decide what's most important to you and develop your own custom recipe. In this inquiry activity, grade 9 students gain a solid foundation in experimental design by controlling some variables, adapting a given procedure and developing qualitative and quantitative assessment criteria.
