Guanlin Temple, located in Guanlin Town, Luolong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province, is the place where Guan Yu's head was buried. Guan Yu is a general of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period. Guanlin Temple is the only ancient classic building in China where integrates the mound, temple, and forest. It is now a national key cultural relics protection unit and a national AAAA level tourist attraction.

Guanlin Temple was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and expanded during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and the existing buildings are mainly from the Ming Dynasty. Guanlin Temple building specifications are in accordance with the form of palace construction, the layout is rigorous and spectacular. There is a theater in front of the temple. On the central axis, there are the main door, the ceremony door, worship hall, grand hall, second halls, third hall, stone pagoda, forest pavilion, and Guan tomb. Other symmetrical buildings of the same form are attached on both sides of the central axis. The most distinctive one is the Dance Tower with double eaves.

Every year on September 29, the Guanlin International Pilgrimage Ceremony is held here. At that time, overseas people and clan organizations come to Guanlin Temple to hold a grand pilgrimage ceremony.
