About the Audio English Bible:

The Audio English Bible is a Modern English Strict Paraphrase, built directly from the King James Version of the bible, Young's Literal translation, The American Standard Version, the Swedish 1917 Bible, and the Icelandic bible. The purpose of the paraphrase was to provide maximum clarity and accuracy for the listeners of an audio performance of the biblical narrative. Secondarily the Audio English Bible aimed for ease of reading in the English language.

Archaic words within the King James text were updated using modern equivalents checked with Webster's 1828 Dictionary. Non-English versions of the Bible were consulted to check against possible errors due to "group think" rendering of texts by English translators. In matters of textual clarity Young's Literal was used as final authority for redenering into the Audio English Bible. This due to it's literal nature of Young's Literal, which was created as a tool for English speakers to see into the original languages.
