One day a few months ago I was feeling quite nostalgic and introspective (not unusual given this crazy world we have been navigating!) and I sat down at the piano and started to play one of our songs acoustically. It was a strange feeling because I felt so exposed and vulnerable… Just me and a piano. So different. That was the seed that sparked a journey that we have taken as a band over the last few months.

Unplugged, stripped-down, nothing to hide behind - we picked a few of our songs to re-imagine completely. We handpicked some of South Africa’s best musicians (who also happen to be some of the world’s most wonderful humans) to work on this record! It was our dream team and as we settled down in studio and began crafting these songs, something that stood out to me was the respect each musician had for one another and how the music always got put first - it was really humbling. We have made something truly magical here! Listen, share and to let us know if it is as special to you as it has been for us.
