GMC Motorhome Window Resealing

As always - most of my information comes from the great people of the GMC Motorhome community.
Of particular help prompting me to do this project was the videos on Window resealing from Jim Bounds.

Start with the large window to save paper for bagging
Clean - spray on wax/grease remover and then remove with paper towl
Green tape around window about 1/8” away from frame - make it straight as it will be the guide for the RTV silicone. For corners, rip tape in half and it will bend around the corner easily - this is better than trying to use little pieces.
Now remove all the bad silicone, etc and rip out the rubber using screwdriver.
Take hammer and piece of wood to remove vertical bar. The vertical felt/gasket is inside this vertical bar - use a new piece and slide in and trim off.
Pull out fixed window
Check overall frame - does sliding window slide well? If not, try to expand frame in middle by bending it.
Clean out butyl tape around the frame and off window. Use paint scraper. There will be plastic spacers in there - keep for later step. Clean butyl off glass using wax/grease remover and paint scraper.
Use Black RTV - cut the tip at a 30 degree angle and cut a “V” in the top so that silicone comes out of this as applied. Apply sealant bead on frame where fixed window goes.
Cut down the plastic spacers - they are too big - place these in the bottom only
Set glass on spacers and move it to right position.
hold glass in place and start the rubber in the groove and push it in.
put new felt in vertical bar, put in place, pin with rivet
Open Window
Install large rubber scraper
paint
