Welcome back to MTG Arena gameplay! Today we’re piloting Sultai Faeries, a disruptive and grindy control deck that blends classic Faerie synergies with a powerful green splash.
The star of the deck is Maralen, Fae Ascendant, which lets us exile the top cards of our opponent’s library and cast them ourselves—scaling with the number of Faeries we control. Even better, this ability re-triggers every time a Faerie enters the battlefield, creating insane value over the course of the game.
We pair this with Obyra, Dreaming Duelist, draining our opponent for 1 life whenever another Faerie enters play. This becomes especially deadly alongside Bitterbloom Bearer, which produces a steady stream of 1/1 Faerie tokens every turn—fueling life drain, card advantage, and Maralen triggers all at once.
For card draw and interaction, we run Flitterwing Nuisance to convert combat damage into cards, while Glen Elendra Guardian helps shut down key non-creature spells. Our counter suite includes Spell Stutter, which scales with the number of Faeries on board, and Three Steps Ahead for flexible counterplay or card draw in the mid to late game.
To survive aggressive matchups, we round out the deck with efficient removal like Requiting Hex and Shoot the Sheriff, giving us strong answers against early threats.
This Sultai Faeries list is disruptive, synergistic, and incredibly annoying to play against—perfect for players who love tempo, control, and out-valuing their opponents. If you enjoy tricky gameplay and incremental advantages, this deck is definitely worth trying!
