Описание: House shows are the most powerful version of the live songwriting performance. Most of us only see artists on giant stages, stadiums, festivals, a sea of people before them, elevated like idols to worship on a stage above us all. This, I think, is one of the least powerful ways to consume music, right behind on a TV gameshow like "American Idol" or something. No, I'm sorry but i'll always prefer it the way I first came to love music. Packed like sardines into a tiny living room, surrounded by friends, with the artist on the same level as us, the same wavelength. You can feel the power of each word, each chord, each emotion that went into the penning of the lyrics. This was a GemsOnVHS "house show", live at the office, sold out as fuck.

Angela Autumn opened the night, a recording we released recently (   • Angela Autumn live at a house show // Gems...  , and Willi Carlisle closed it out (last time you'll see him on such an intimate stage). In between was the troubadour, manual laborer and all around great dude Nick Hans playing a collection of his catchy bops. We've recorded Nick a few times now, in New Mexico at his home in the mountains outside Taos (   • Nick Hans, "I Got Troubles Now," // GemsOn...  , and here in Nashville, in an old warehouse (   • Nick Hans, "Pineywood Blues," // GemsOnVHS™  , but seeing him do his thing in front of some real music fans (mostly our Patreon supporters, thanks y'all), was moving.
