The Old Man of Coniston & Dow Crag // The Lake District

Описание: I think the second full Covid 19 lockdown in England pushed a lot of people to edge. 4 weeks of not being able to walk in the mountains was very difficult, particularly for those of us who actually NEED to be out amongst them. So this first walk was a much needed tonic for the soul and my goodness did it do the job!

Semi-winter conditions, beautiful blue skies and glorious views in every direction from almost the beginning to the very end of the walk make this a day that'll be hard to forget.

If you're new to the Lake District and can't decide which mountain you'd like to walk up first may I suggest you start with this exact route - you won't be disappointed! I've walked (and run) this route many times and it never gets old ('scuse the pun). A special place indeed.
