Classic TV Theme: Tour of Duty (two versions)

Описание: In the wake of Oliver Stone's 'Platoon', networks sought to replicate that success on the small screen. 'Tour of Duty' premiered in 1987 and followed a platoon in Vietnam carrying out search and destroy missions. Filmed in Hawaii, production moved to L.A. in season two (on sets from tv's M*A*S*H) to reduce costs. CBS wanted female characters so the platoon relocated to a camp near Saigon. The final season found the unit conducting covert operations. Joseph Conlon was the show's composer but all three seasons opened with 'Paint It Black' (by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards) performed by the Rolling Stones. Conlon had written his own title music that would eventually be heard on DVD and streaming.
