Defending Gun Tight Part 2.5. A Concept you can apply to any formation you defend with any coverage.

0:31 - 3:45 - Review of Defending Gun Tight Part I. How professional teams would potentially defending a formation like gun tight while playing single High. The biggest concept I was trying to drive home in that video was that with Single High against this formation, we want to leverage the outside of the formation . . . while cushioning routes to the inside. It's great because, typically when opponents play from this formation, they are trying to attack outside the numbers.

7:21 - 7:50 - If we know we need to develop pressure packages {to keep our opponent on the ropes}, however, we know that we need to maintain a particular shell coverage against a formation {We like to play single high against gun tight to maintain outside leverage of the formation}, how can we create a pressure package with the same shell coverage? We don't want to play cover 0 against gun tight . . . . One way of killing all of these birds with one stone is with the CREEPER BLITZ.

We can create a blitz type pressure, while maintaining our cover 3 cloud outer shell vs this formation with a creeper tactic.

10:56 - 12:25 - One benefit of creeper blitz is that you can take any coverage shell, and turn it into a blitz with it. Remember, it's all about blitzing a defender from the 2nd or 3rd level, then taking a defender from the first level into coverage with the 2nd level and rotating the coverage to maintain it's structure.

12:26 - 13:45 - Using this information to knock out multiple birds with one stone against gun tight. We develop a pressure package while maintaining cover 3 cloud structure.
13:46 - 14:51 - 1st Play . . . Okie Eagle 3 Creeper . . . and we still do the same presnap alignment as we do with cover 3 cloud.
14:52 - 15:10 - The primary goal in blitzing in my opinion.
15:11 - 16:32 - 2nd Play . . . Pressure interception.
16:33 - 17:35 - Learning this concept . . . now apply it to everything else.

You play cover 6 vs bunch? Grab a pad and pen and create a cover 6 shell creeper blitz to play against bunch.

Cover 9 vs doubles? Can you create a creeper? On and on and on. You can increase the values of so many plays with this concept in mind. Peace.
