► ABOUT

Formed in 2009, Shrapnel have been a on a campaign of destruction. From the blistering underground EP ‘No Saviours’ through to the 10th anniversary release, ‘Decade of Decimation’, the band has grown from strength to strength with no intention of slowing down.

‘The Virus Conspires’ saw Shrapnel sign to Candlelight Records in 2014 and the band quickly hit the road with successful tours and festival appearances. Having opened for legendary bands such as Exodus, Sepultura, Death Angel, Sacred Reich, Suicidal Tendencies, Destruction, Overkill, Voivod, Xentrix, Acid Reign, and many more, the band is hungry and ready to bring it’s savage brand of metal to the UK, Europe, and beyond.

Their sophomore effort ‘Raised On Decay’ saw Shrapnel again recorded with Russ Russell (At The Gates, Napalm Death, The Haunted, Evile, Dimmu Borgir) at Parlour Studios, and recruited Eliran Kantor (Testament, Sodom, Soulfly, Hatebreed, Satan, Crowbar, Hate Eternal) for artwork duties. Achieving critical acclaim, Shrapnel have proved they are among the most savage and impressive thrash bands to emerge from the UK. The album sees the band step into more aggressive, expansive territory, honing their own sound and pushing the extremity of the genre.

In 2019 Shrapnel celebrate their 10th anniversary with a new EP, ‘Decade Of Decimation’. Working with Scott Atkins (Game Bomb, Vader, Cradle Of Filth, Silosis), the band re-recorded 3 songs from out-of-print 2009 release ‘No Saviours’, as well as a blistering brand new track ‘Live Vindictive’. The release shows the savage timelessness of their early material, as well as their ability to continue evolving and writing biting, hook-filled thrash.

With their new and tightest line-up, Shrapnel has recently begun production of their 3rd full-length record, again seeking to push themselves to unleash another monster album in 2020.
