Things I wish I knew before visiting Versailles 🇫🇷👑⛲

Here’s everything I wish I knew before visiting:

📅 Book in advance - in the peak time you need to book your tickets at least 2-4 days in advance to get your preferred entry time

🕰️ The queues are no joke – arrive early! No shade in sight, bring a hat & sunscreen if you're coming in summer.

🎶 Not all musical fountains are always on – check the schedule to avoid disappointment.

🚰 Bring a reusable bottle – there are plenty of free water fountains in the gardens!

👟 Wear comfy shoes – the palace and gardens are massive.

👑 The Hall of Mirrors gets crowded – go early if you are not a fan of crowds.

🥖 Bring snacks and picnic in the gardens – the food on site is overpriced and not great.

🍴 For drinks & food after long day of exploring Versailles head to Rue de Satory located just couple minutes from the palace gates
