We talk about the new record that is coming out in the beginning of next year, 2023, with the band Cross Country Driver. Written and performed by Rob Lamothe, James Harper from the band Fighting Friday and Robs son Zander Lamothe from Logan Staats Band, Cross Country Driver's "The New Truth" is an old-school-rock rollercoaster of an album.

This gutsy generation-and-continent-spanning musical adventure features inspired performances by friends like Mike Mangini (Dream Theater), Greg Chaisson (Badlands), dUg Pinnick (Kings X), Rhonda Smith (Jeff Beck), Jimmy Wallace (The Wallflowers), KFigg (Extreme) and more… Two-and-a-half years in the making, “The New Truth” was mixed by Grammy winner Nick Brophy.
Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard) joined in on guitar and vocals on a track and said it best, “Lush, rich, deep and spirited. No one makes records like this anymore. Bravo!”

We also talked about classic bands like Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, Bad Company & Paul Rogers, guitar players like Brian Robertson, Doug Aldrich, Paul Gilbert, Stevie Salas and of course Robs band mate in Riverdogs, Vivian Campbell.
We also talked about the ten years Rob was living in Hamilton, Canada and how big impact Daniel Lanois has on the music scene there.

Rob is telling us how he met Logan Staats for the first time and how that meeting led to the close friendship they have today. You will also find out about the release of Logan Staats new album, Logans sister Leyla Staats new album and how Rob is involved in the recordings. Layla Staats is also involved in the documentary The Water Walker which is about clean drinking water in Indigenous communities around the world.

The band Dollarstore Hacksaw is a band were Rob is playing together with his 3 children, Zander Lamothe on drums and vocals, Josh Lamothe on vocals, bass, guitar and piano and Rose Lamothe on vocals and keyboard.
