Today I took a video bicycle ride along the "Waterfront Trail" from Leslie Street to almost Victoria Park Av, and then up the short, but hellish 30° incline, Silver Birch Avenue - to Kingston Road.
The route along the waterfront is beautiful, and as I got past Woodbine Avenue, I could see Queen Street - just 300 metres to the north - and remembered the rush hour hell on that street while I merrily weaved along the casual Waterfront Trail 'Commute Way'.
"Waterfront Trail" (www.waterfronttrail.org) is a 900 km (almost) continuous cycling trail along the Canadian shores of Lake Ontario - from Niagara on the Lake all the way to the Ontario/Quebec border where it connects with "La Route Verte au Québec", Quebec's beautiful province-wide recreational trail system.

In Toronto Waterfront Trail runs across the foot of Toronto along a route formerly known as The Martin Goodman Trail.

I created this video by editing two takes together, the introduction to the trip (5 minutes) and the trip itself (30 minutes 34 esconds) with the YouTube Video Editor ( / editor )
