Sandgate parkrun turns into a high-speed battleground once a year for Speed Week, and this year did not disappoint!

In this video, I take you on the journey of the epic 2025 Speed Week at Sandgate parkrun (event #629) — a morning full of adrenaline, fast times, and incredible stories. I ran 18:35 unofficially, but officially clocked in at 19:00, finishing my 106th parkrun and 16th at Sandgate, earning an age-grade score of 74.65% and placing 13th in my age group (VM45–49) among 894 runners. Still proud and pushing!

🎤 BONUS: I speak with runners from BERT – Brisbane Elite Running Team, who came out in force chasing elite times and showing what true speed looks like.
