Vietnam marked the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War on Tuesday (Apr 29) with a large-scale military-civilian parade in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, celebrating a historic moment that reshaped the nation.
Thousands gathered at Bach Dang Wharf, which was packed with onlookers waving flags and singing along to special performances. Former President Nguyen Minh Triet was among the dignitaries attending the grand ceremony.
