In this video, we discuss the recent ban on mutation (Intiqal) of inherited property without prior partition and what it actually means for legal heirs, property buyers, and revenue authorities.
Traditionally, inheritance mutations were entered jointly in the names of all legal heirs. However, under the latest policy and administrative instructions, Intiqal is no longer allowed in inheritance cases unless formal partition (Taqseem) has taken place. This change has serious legal and practical consequences.
