Glendale police officers initiated a pursuit of a barefoot male suspect in the Entertainment District of downtown Glendale. The chase ensued after the suspect fled from officers but was temporarily lost in the area.
Moments later, the suspect was spotted jumping from building to building near the intersection of 55th Avenue and West Glendale Road. Officers requested assistance from Glendale firefighters, who arrived with a ladder truck to access a roof where the suspect was hiding.
As officers made contact, non-lethal weapon shots could be heard. The suspect was taken into custody shortly thereafter. At least 25 officers participated in the search and arrest, which drew a large crowd. The circumstances leading to the foot chase remain unclear, and no further details have been released
