Wellington Writers Walk: a love letter to a New Zealand city | Cable Car to Te Araroa North Island

Описание: Day 89: I absolutely loved doing the Wellington Writers Walk on the North Island in New Zealand. I started down near Freyberg Beach and made my way back towards the city center along the waterfront and the Ara Moana, the Great Harbor Way, and meeting up with the Commonwealth Walkway. I passed Whairepo Lagoon and the Queens Wharf Square areas.

Next, I took the Wellington Cable Car up to the Wellington Botanic Garden. I loved both of these as well! The cable car was really cool and the gardens were beautiful and expansive. I finally got some more quiet and birdsong after a few days of purely city sounds. Even had some Kākā sightings!

During all these activities, I put footsteps along the Te Araroa North Island for the first time. That was pretty special, even if it wasn't with a fully loaded pack, still pretty great to be back on the TA...
