Zora Neale Hurston spent more than a decade working on a book about Herod the Great that was never published. Visual artist and archivist Sauda Mitchell brought Zora's research and efforts to life thought her artist book, "God's Battle Axe."
Tune in to hear how Sauda's own research through her 2022 Coffey Residency at University of Florida's Zora Neale Hurston Collection supported her efforts to pay homage to Zora and Herod.
"God's Battle Axe" artist book is housed within the Special Collections of the George A. Smathers Library at the University of Florida.
