Simpson’s Pot to Valley Entrance (Kingsdale Master Cave System)

Описание: The Simpsons pot to Valley entrance is a classic caving route that uses pull-through rope techniques and forms part of the Kingsdale Master Cave system, a network of over 17 miles of mapped underground passages, the longest underwater cave system in Britain.

Water entering through Simpson’s Pot flows into Swinsto Hole, Rowten Pot, Bull Pot and Yordas Cave before resurfacing at Keld Head.

The cave has a long exploration history dating back to the early 1900s, with key breakthroughs made by the British Speleological Association and later extensions discovered by ULSA and the Northern Cave Club.

The trip features crawls, short pitches, traverses, the Storm Pot duck, and a final connection into the main Swinsto streamway before exiting through Valley Entrance.

Due to previous incidents and variable water levels, careful planning, correct rigging, and suitable experience are essential for this route.
